You're Not Undisciplined. You're Untrained.

This spring I built a deck and ran a stretch of work projects I cared about, and in those same 6 weeks I opened my Bible maybe twice. Here’s what took me years to see: you don’t have five discipline problems. You have one capacity problem. Prayer, Scripture, obedience, resisting the same old pull, being present with the people in front of you—every one of them runs on your attention, and almost nobody ever teaches you to train it. So they rise together when it’s trained, and they fall together when it isn’t.

What's Covered

  • The four answers you've already tried: a better system, more willpower, more desire, lower expectations
  • Why each one assumes the very capacity that broke is still working
  • What Scripture says about training the capacity underneath all of it (Psalm 77)
  • The honest part: training makes you see it sooner, and the turning itself is grace
